Chris Kooi is recognised amongst his peers as an upcoming civil litigation and criminal lawyer whose practice includes contract and land law, intellectual property, corporate insolvency, bankruptcy proceedings, torts, employment and family law disputes.

Having obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Malaysia, Chris read in the chambers of Datuk Ong Siew Swan prior to being called to the Malaysian Bar. He was awarded the Tun Hussein Onn Memorial Scholarship by the Kuok Foundation and received his Master of Laws from the University of Malaya. A member of the Kuala Lumpur Bar, Chris is an active member of its Civil Law Practice Committee.
